hot-to-trot

The REPUBLICANS were hot-to-trot this morning.
-Which means look out!
I set out for the PT-gym at 7 a.m. this morning (Friday, September 1) — which means the burghers that run this great land are busily engaged in NASCAR rush-hour.
As I proceeded east on 5&20, a clapped-out Cavalier was far head. It went to the bottom of the hill beyond Centerfield.
A side-road intersects and a mighty Hummer pulled out in front of the Cavalier.
It stopped short, but not before sending the Cavalier juking into the oncoming lane; which was empty.
Obviously, it scared the Cavalier-driver out of his wits. He pulled onto the shoulder to recover.
Well, no problem. No accident, and I’m still at the top of the hill — far away.
The mighty Hummer completed his turn, and then a gray Volvo station-wagon approached the intersection as I descended down the hill.
The Bucktooth-Bathtub has daytime running lights, but the Volvo pulled out anyway, sending me into the oncoming lane when it stopped.
Look out for them burghers — they’re hot to get to work, to help slaughtering the infidels.
And of course both the Hummer and the Volvo had Dubya-stickers.
